A big welcome to
Hilary Weisman Graham
whose debut novel

1 Concert
2000 Miles
3 Ex-Best Friends
Alice, Summer, and Tiernan are ex-best friends.
Back in middle school, the three girls were inseparable. They were also the number one fans of the rock band Level3
.But when the band broke up, so did their friendship. Summer ran with the popular crowd, Tiernan was a rebellious wild-child, and Alice spent high school with her nose buried in books.
Now, just as the girls are about to graduate, Level3 announces a one-time-only reunion show.
Even though the concert’s 2000 miles away, Alice buys three tickets on impulse. And as it turns out, Summer and Tiernan have their own reasons for wanting to get out of town. Good thing Alice’s graduation gift (a pea-green 1976 VW camper van known as the Pea Pod) is just the vehicle to get them there.
But on the long drive cross-country, the girls hit more than a few bumps in the road. Will their friendship get an encore or is the show really over? (from Goodreads)
This past Saturday, Hilary held a release party about half an hour from my house. How thrilled was I?!
She read a chapter from Reunited, answered our questions and then signed, just about every copy in the store.
Afterwards, we all headed outside to a park behind the bookstore for sunshine, snacks, drinks and one of the best tasting cakes I've had in a long time. Seriously, the icing on this thing was amazing! Maybe it was almond flavored? I don't know but man was it good.
I had a ton of fun and I'm pretty sure everyone else did too. The day was beautiful and even though we were there to celebrate Hilary, I could really tell she put a lot of work into making sure all her guests had a good time. How sweet of her!
Before we get on to the giveaway, take a minute to check out the trailer and don't forget the stalking!
I met Hilary for the first time at BEA 2011 and it was easy get excited for her debut. Now that I have a copy in my hot little hands I can't wait to read it.
And you can too!
I have 1 (one) signed copy to give away. Open to US residents 18 and older.
I'm using Rafflecopter for the first time so please let me know if something seems off.
My dream roadtrip is to drive across country.
ReplyDeleteI traveled to Red Rock amphitheater last summer to see A Perfect Circle live in concert. The BEST place to see a live show EVER!!!! The trip up there was filled with fun with the husband :)
ReplyDeleteI love driving to Myrtle Beach.
ReplyDeleteI've made many road trips between Los Angeles and Southern Utah. It is barren and dry. Hardly a tree in sight. But the rock formations in Utah are breathtaking. You are going back in time looking at those rocks. Leaves me in awe of nature.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite.....well I just started dating a guy so I think a road trip ANYWHERE would be great with him. Just to have slow down time.
ReplyDeleteI remember Hilary from BEA 2011--she was SO sweet. I still have the bookmark she gave us when we all sat with her :D
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any road trips (yet) btu I would love to have onewith my friends--it'd be great to drive around the country (so long as we have the money for gas!).
Thanks for the great giveaway! And the fun recap (now I want some of that cake...)
My favorite road trips are driving to Maroon 5 concerts with my friend Cathy. We sing to the top of our lungs the whole way and make fun of ourselves for being so fan-girly about them. On our last trip, we thought up a great reality tv show idea - we would travel all over the US (when M5 is on tour), going from concert to concert, and there would be a dashboard camera recording us along the way. Of course we would have our own handheld cameras to record the concert moments too. (OK so we really aren't that delusional, but it sure would be a lot of fun!!)
ReplyDeleteI think it's pretty funny that my favorite road trips are about following a band and this book is about the same (total coincidence).
