Hello and Welcome!

Red House Books is going through a bit of a update!

I've always had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted this space to be but I've been detoured from my path by...lots and lost of other people's opinions and ways of doing things...

I'm committed to this little chunk of the interweb but I've also branched out into other places so! Now it's time to think of Red House Books as more of a hub of all things me! And Me is a hell of a lot of book love!

Stay tuned!

Mystery + Suspense Challenge 2011

Mystery + Suspense Challenge 2011 is hosted by Book Chick City

Reasons for participating?
Really only one big one - I love adult mystery and suspense novels and I have sorely neglected them in 2010.
I already have a ton on my shelves that need reading but check out this list of possibilities from Book Chick City!

Head over to Book Chick City for all the details and to join yourself - just click the button above.

  1. I'm not much for those kinds of books, but I used to be really into them! I hope you have fun with this challenge :]

  2. This is definitely not my favorite genre, especially when it comes to adult books. My father reads mysteries and suspense books all the time, but I think I cured myself of them by reading too much Agatha Christie in middle school. I am satiated for life!

  3. I used to love mysteries. I decided not to do this one because I have quite a few already.

  4. Have fun with this one! I was obsessed with mysteries in general, and Mary Higgins Clark in particular when I was in Jr. High. I'm not participating in this challenge, but it always makes me feel happy and nostalgic when I see the button!

  5. I'm not huge into mysteries. I prefer vampires and ghosts. My aunt only reads mysteries and the more dead bodies there are the more she likes it.

  10. Cute button! I grew up on Nancy Drew. Suspense is great, but I'm not really into straight mystery books.

  11. I'm not a huge mystery fan. I've read a lot over the years and I just figure everything out too soon nowadays.

  14. My sister-in-law really loves these types of books and if I could get my husband to read them I think he would love them as well. Me personally, I don't really like those types of books and I don't really like those types of shows either. I get scared of even the slightest things sometimes so reading or watching anything likes this can freak me out.

  15. I like mystery but I usually don't go out looking for them. I'm not aware of a lot of YA mystery / suspense as well. :/
