Hello and Welcome!

Red House Books is going through a bit of a update!

I've always had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted this space to be but I've been detoured from my path by...lots and lost of other people's opinions and ways of doing things...

I'm committed to this little chunk of the interweb but I've also branched out into other places so! Now it's time to think of Red House Books as more of a hub of all things me! And Me is a hell of a lot of book love!

Stay tuned!

100 Books In A Year Reading Challenge 2011

100 Books In A Year Reading Challenge 2011 is being hosted by Book Chick City

I have 3 reasons for joining this one -
*I read over 100 books in 2010 but I wasn't very good in keeping up with exactly how many I had read at any given time - hoping this challenge will force me into noticing my benchmarks.
*I love Book Chick City
*I love the challenge button! Isn't it so cute!?

For all the details and to sign up for yourself click the button.

So, how many books do you think you can read in 2011?

  1. This seems like an interesting challenge! I might consider joining it.

  2. Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun! Considering I've read 6 books in the past week, I'd probably be able to pull off 100 in a year if I weren't in school. Maybe I'll try for 100 in the summer months between semesters? haha either way, good luck on the challenge! And yes, that button is totally cute!

  3. I should sign up for this one--I read over 150 books this past year and will probably read more this coming year. What I need to do is decide which challenges I want to participate in and create a page like the one you have for challenges only. I lose track too quickly!

  4. I never sign up for this one cause I just assume I will always be able to read 100 +, plus there are a ton more I wanted to sign up for. :) But go you! I'm aiming for 300 again (hope I will reach it this time).

  5. I may or may not sign up for this one. It almost feels pointless though, because I read about 250 books this year, and I don't doubt that I'll be able to reach that or more again. I am participating in the Outdo Yourself Challenge at The Book Vixen, but I've been trying to decide if I want to sign up for this one... Hmm.

  6. I'm not signing up because challenges stress me out, I know it's weird. I'm aiming for 100+ this year.

  7. Hm ... I am not sure I would have time for this. I average about 75 or so a year. 100 would be nice though :)

  8. I have yet to read 100 books in a year. This year I read the most (that I kept track of) and came out at 65 or something. One of me resolutions is to read 100 books this year...we'll see if I can do it.

  9. Wow, no pressure there! I don't know if I could commit to that with my crazy life.

  10. That button is awesome. I don't have access to a well-stocked library, and not enough cash to read 100 books. I wish though! I probably managed about 50-60 this year.

  11. I know I will definitely read more than 100 books this year. Good luck on the challenge!

  13. I know I will read more than 100. But I cant really guess how many total. Too many variables for me.

  14. I will probably end up reading more than 100 but I have a hard time keeping track...maybe I will start a books read journal for this year

  15. In 2010 I read 170 or so books...which surprises me. So maybe I should also sign-up for this challenge, I've been thinking about it...

  16. I challenged this for myself personally but I hadn't actually officially joined anyone's challenge yet. I don't know if I will.... Good luck though!! I use GoodReads to keep track of the books I read.
